Lydiard Millicent School, Wiltshire

AFLA Ltd has been working with the Bush Consultancy architects on a replacement primary school in Wiltshire. The school is being built to BREEAM Education 2008 Very Good Standard. The landscape includes refurbished sports pitches, a wildlife walk, habitats and hide, year 1 and reception gardens, a school allotment garden and an oak framed grass-roofed bike shelter. The proposals were developed in close liaison with the school staff, children, governors and parents.

In September 2011, the school was formally opened by The Right Reverend Dr Lee Rayfield, The Bishop Suffragan of Swindon and a legacy oak tree planted in the newly completed landscape.
