Byron Rec, Weston-super-Mare
In 2009 AFLA Ltd was appointed to design and oversee the refurbishment of Byron Recreation ground, with an overall budget of £130k. Construction for this park is being carried out by Afan Landscapes. The works comprises the creation of a new natural play area with stepping stones and boardwalk islands over a naturally marshy area, conventional play equipment, a play mound with spiral path, a boules court for a local community club, an expansive dog-free area and new tree planting to give the park some structure.
