The Catherine Mead Tenants Association have been raising money
to create a new garden for the hundreds of residents of Catherine
Mead elderly people’s flats. The gardens are being designed
to encourage folks to exercise and enjoy the outdoors. A new
footpath circuit with seats at regular intervals will enable
residents to enjoy a walk in the fresh air, within a secure
and convenient landscape. Flowering shrubs along the boundary
will provide interest and additional security. Bird tables and
nesting boxes will encourage wildlife into the garden.
